Buy generic items from your local supermarket and with the help of your family and friends customize them according to your liking and theme. It will also make your wedding super special and unique, standing out from the crowd of weddings shopped from the same selections.
Don’t go overboard on the cake
A fancy cake sounds amazing, but you do not have to spend a fortune on a fancy cake to make your day special. Order only as much cake as it is needed for the party, instead of spending a ton on a tall cake with more tiers than you need. If needed cut down on super fancy flavors and go for simple vanilla or chocolate and your wedding will be just as beautiful.
Keep it local
One of the easiest ways to make your wedding budget friendly is to keep it local. Prepare a menu using local and seasonal produce. This will reduce the prices immensely as off-season items as well as those which are not locally produced cost way more owing to the additional logistical costs. Hire a local baker, decorator, planner, photographer etc. as well so that you do not have to compromise on quality due to your budget.
Your wedding day is much bigger than your decorations, dress, cake etc. so instead of fixating on making these small things perfect and expensive, keep your wedding costs low and save up more for a super special honeymoon.
